Stomach pain and hipcups with Fluorouracil and Leucovorin.

I had my first treatment with Fluorouracil and Leucovorin on Thursday last week (not getting Oxaliplatin) and there didn’t seem to be any side-effects, but then Friday night I started getting hipcups and I never have hitcups and then Saturday I had stomach pain that has been constant since then. Also, in typing this I notice that my eyes had trouble bringing the words into focus. Have any of you had the same reaction and if so what did you do for it? Thanks in advance for your help.

    I have...
    The hiccups would be non-stop at times. I couldn't put a sentence together. They gave me something called Bacophan (spelling is way off) and it helped somewhat. I would get the eye focus thing too. It would pass, I just wouldn't try to read anything while it was going on and I've had cramps from CPT11 (irricotican). I took belladonna (donnatol?) for it. The hiccups were not every time but like everything, they pass over time...

    My husband is on FOLFOX + avastin he is not taking the OXY anymore. He had the huccups real bad for the first couple of days . He just had his 13th treatment and no huccups. As for the stomach pain, Phil has been down that road so he knows what he is talking about. You might wat to ask your Onc about those drugs he mentioned.The eye thing hasn't been an issue yet. Hope you get the help you need. Paula
