    Femara
I am taking Femara and so far the pain is not so bad I can not manage. I go this week about my bone density. I am not sure what will happen there. I do have a bone loss prior to Femara.

I have no pain at all from Femara. Now hair thinning, that is a different story. I hope you don't get this side effect. I know it seems trivial, but it upset me a lot.

    Hi Lorie,
    I took Femara for

    Hi Lorie,
I took Femara for 3 1/2 years and the only problems I had was hot flashes for about 4 months. I was very lucky I guess. I hope you do well with the femara. My onc. had me on Aridia while I was taking the Femara and did not have any problems with my bones getting worse.

Let us know how you do with it.
    Love and gentle hugs,

    Hi Donna,
If all I get is hot flashes that will be ok. I've had those ever since they took me off of HRT after getting BC. How is Aridia taken? Once a week, once a month? I know they say Femara is supposed to stop the cancer from coming back because of being ER POSITIVE, but when your messing with your bones sometimes I dont know if it is worth it. Alot to think about!

    Hi Ohilly,
I havnt even heard of hair thinning,Hopefully that doesn't happen.Like you said it sounds trivial,But I love the way my hair goes right into place without having to mess with it. Are you on any chemo?

    Hi Debbie,
Are you on anything to help your bones stay strong? If not you might want to ask your Dr. to start you on something.Depending on your age you might already have some bone thinning. Good luck with your bone density test,Let us know how you do.

    Hi Lorie,
    They gave me

    Hi Lorie,

They gave me Aridia once a month for 6 months. They gave it to me through my port that was for chemo. Otherwise it is given through IV. I had no side effects from that except my bone scans look better and better. I know that it gets overwhelming so I called my onc. to see what she thought about it. She said that if it was her, she would want the Aridia. I felt better after that.

Remember, you are not alone here.

    Femara

Hi I’m on Femara, was on it alone for about 3 months with minimal side effects, some hot flushes and now I take it together with another medication called ribociclib( clinical trials). My hair has some thinning and I too was upset ( seems silly when you look at the bigger picture) there is some tiredness but otherwise ok. But I can’t tell if it’s due to Femada or ribiciclib.

Anyway all the best and I pray you have minimal effect
