I'm getting tingling in my feet and ankles feel funny. My arm feels funny too on the 'bad' side. Feels swollen but I look at my ankles and they aren't. Trying not to stay on the computer too long. I had my last chemo in 2004. Could it affect you so long after? Maybe just vericose veins. I've got to go put my feet up. I've also gained like 5 pounds. It feels like water gain.

You should really call your dr about this. It could just be from retaining water, but you never know. Hope you call the doc and let them know what is going on.

    Tingling
Marcia, I remember reading that side effects from chemo could occur at any time in the future. It sounds like you're having the kind of neuropathy I had during my fifth round of TAC. I didn't have the swelling feeling or weight gain, but my feet and legs tingled severely. Then, I'd get that feeling we describe as our limbs "going to sleep," or numbness.

When I reported the tingling and numbness to my oncologist, he told me to tak 50mg of Vitamin B6 daily. Within 24 hours, my symptoms had lessened, and they disappeared completely within a couple of days.

Definitely call your doctor. I hope the B6 or something similar can help you quickly with all of your symptoms. Please let us know.

    Marcia, I still have
Marcia, I still have problems with my feet and shins since the taxotere and take gabapentin for it. My last chemo was in 07 Apr. It'd be good to check with your doc esp since you have other things going on as well. Hope you get it resolved soon.....and let us know what they say. Best of luck to you,

Marcia, I wonder, too, if it's not a delayed neuropathy reaction to chemo. In that case, your doc. may be able to prescribe something or, like Moopy's doctor, recommend vitamins. Hope it clears up soon. Please let us know.

    Sounds like...
Sounds like neuropathy to me too..just a guess. I have it from diabetes but it became much worse with chemo. I am now on Alpha Lipoic Acid..some improvement, but not much yet.
It is annoying I know and can become very painful..so talk to your doctor.

    Sorry Marcia, but I agree.
Sorry Marcia, but I agree. I see a doctor visit in your future. It does sound like neuropathy, but you can never be too sure without having it checked. Let us know how things turn out. Hugs,

Marcia, please let us know what you find out. I hope it is not neuropathy and something else entirely different and easy to fix! Pammy

I kept my feet up yesterday
I kept my feet up yesterday and peed a lot (not at the same time) and today it's better. Plus I dropped two pounds since yesterday morning at the same time. A couple years ago I was seeing a PCP about feet sores and he couldn't figure out what was wrong. So I decided to keep my feet up today and see what happens. Maybe it's some kind of new diet plan. Sit on your butt all day with your feet up and eat all you want and lose weight. Well I didn't eat that much but those snakeoil salesman don't tell all either. I moved the laptop off the desk so I don'thave to stretch but it means I miss keys sometimes. Have to use that little thingy in the middle too. So you didn't get rid of me for very long. My feet are up, my laptop is on my lap, and I'm drinking water. Ah-life is good. Well, I still shake but you can't have everything.

    Glad you are better Marcia.
Glad you are better Marcia. But, don't you think you should still see your doctor?

    MARCIA!
NOTICE THE ALL CAPS? Did I get your attention? Like others have advised: maybe you should at least call, if not see, your doctor about your symptoms. They sound worrisome, even if they are transitory. Let us know how you're doing. Love, Lynn
