FIRST TAXOL TREATMENT MONDAY WENT VERY WELL

Hi everyone,

I had my first Taxol treatment on Mon. and after being so nervous it went very well. It is much better than the Ac. the only problem i seem to have is some leg pains--but I'll take it.
Thank you all for your e-mails and making me feel so much better about It.

    Taxol
    Taxol is not bad, however if the leg pain keeps up make sure you get somthing for the pain, don't try to tough it out, taking a little somthing for the pain is not a sign of weakness, it is better then to suffer needlessly

    I am glad you posted. Taxol is milder than A/C.
    Hope you still feel good today and that your next treatment goes better--no leg pains.

    Steph... I am so glad that things went well... and I am hoping the leg pain is short lived... if not I agree with tj.. see if they will give you something to help ease it... you have already been through so much... I will continue sending positive uplifting thoughts your way...

    are you on taxol now or have
    are you on taxol now or have you finished?? Did you loose your eyebrows and lashes while on taxol? mine seem to be getting thinner hope they make 3 more treatments but the odds dont look to good

    thanks Taleena I will keep in mind if they get worst. who needs anymore pain or discomfort,But then again who needs anymore medicine

    I'm so happy your treatment went well for you. For me taxol is much more easier to tolerate than the AC. Keep us posted, let us know how you are doing. As far as the eyelashes and brows I lost mine on the AC and they haven't come back on the taxol, but the good news is that my hair is filling back in and I haven't even ended chemo!!! Love Surf

    Glad the first Taxol is done...
    ... and that it went well for you. You won't be so nervous before the rest of your treatments. One done and over means closer to being finished. I'll be hoping you'll continue to do well with it.

    I am doing good.
    I have finished all of me chemo cocktails and then tomorrow I will be on Herceptin once every three weeks for a year.

    I find I tire more easily now that the chemo is all done--I think it finally caught up with me. Yesterday at work I had to put my head down on my desk for 5-10 minutes and almost fell asleep but then I felt refreshed--I needed to turn my brain off for just a few.

    Raising a 6 year old may have something to do with being tired as well.
