Yikes! Almost forgot to post about Rads today. Sorry, had unexpected company stop in from out of town and they just left.
Well, seems like they just get quicker & quicker. The reason I may be thinking this is because the big rubber band that they put around my feet was on before my head hit the table. Good thing I have strong stomach muscles! It was an effort to lie down.
Nothing different except the machine sounded louder today if that is possible. Zap, Zap and I was done. But I am not able to get up until she gives the OK because sometimes she checks where she marked me and sometimes she tells me I'm good to go without checking. So I haven't figured that part out yet.
I'm not feeling tired yet. It may be too early. Actually, I sometimes feel slightly more energetic afterwards and just know this won't last. I'll be one to crash suddenly & quick!!
Still nothing but a slight tinge of pink (hubby swears he can't see anything) but I feel like I should be burned because I sting just a little. Weird.
Guess we'll just have to wait and see!! (:-) Pammy

if you are feeling a any sting at all please make sure you are greassing up extra, the more moist your skin the better, please pay extra attention.
as far as the rubber band, maybe the tech is trying to help with tightening your tummy up.
as far as getting tired, even if you dont feel like you need a nap make sure that you get extra rest it will help, trust me on this i speak from experince

Thanks for remembering to ask Margo! :) I second the getting extra rest NOW recommendation. Fatigue really does creep up on you, knock you over your head, and screw with your soul.

Are you in the Rad B's or in the Rubber Band????
I am still trying to picture the big rubber band~ I know I didn't have that, and it seems so odd to me, I must say! Isn't it funny how quickly we not only get undressed but lose our inhibitions about being nekkid in front of strangers? Ok, maybe SOME of us ( and honestly, I have no idea who) have never been shy about taking our clothes off! Now, for mammograms, etc, I never bother with the gown~ I mean really~what's there to be shy about after all we have gone through?? And, if I passed any of these techs on the street, I doubt any of them would recognize me, as I don't think they ever looked at me above the collarbone! LOL

Be careful about your skin, even if you think it isn't being affected, it really is! Goop up, girlfriend; the burn is cumulative, and if you feel the sting, take care of yourself!

    Hugs,
    Claudia

They are going fast. Rubber band??? I don't understand that! Ask the doctor for XClair, I slathered that on when I got red and weepy and sore. They should also give you a prescription for the Silver something cream, comes in a tub. That helped too. I didn't feel any different tired than I was during chemo, but it would come on fast. I'd sit down to watch TV and immediately fall asleep. Didn't feel it coming on, guess its the body relaxing and sleep takes its cue from that????

I feel the same about my medical team.
I have no modesty left as far as that goes-I feel like they've seen pretty much everything at different times!
