Yesterday I visited with my medical oncologist. My CEA was 1.6 and she said I continue to do well. I then went and had a mammogram (yearly check -up ) and bless them, they read it right there (the tech had to maneuver around my port so that was probably a tip-off) and it was NORMAL. Whew! I still remain NED. Next month is the PET/CT, 3 months after the ending of chemo. I guess what I noticed yesterday, besides the anxiety of testing, is that I really really wanted my oncologist to say "well, your done with all this cancer stuff". So being at peace with uncertainty without losing sight of possibilities seems to be the trick for this post treatment stage. So thanks you all for being here 'cause the cheering crowds make it easier to keep riding the bucking bronco (apologies for the metaphor but living in wyoming and all.. :-)

    Great News!
    Great news Leslie.

When I was a kid my Dad always "threatened" to relocate us to Green River, Wyoming from NJ for a job transfer. Of the 7 of us kids I was the one for it as I grew up riding and wanted to live in more horse-friendly territory. We never did make that move but I did get out to Wyoming a while back. So from here in NJ I cheer you as you tame that bronco....

Thanks Amy for your response and cheers
I enjoyed hearing about your Dad's threat to move to Green River :-). I live about 2 hrs NE of Green river, east and next to the Wind River mtns. I'm a transplanted easterner but now have spent more of my life here rather than in MA.

all the best to you, Leslie
