Thanks so much to everyone that responded to my very first post. Although I have a great support system here at home(the worlds most awesome hubby ever) we live several states away from our families and will be making a trip there tomorrow for a wedding it will be the first time seeing everyone since my Dx and I want to be as positive as possible. I hate the way people look at me after I tell them it breaks my heart to see them so sad, and I am hoping things stay upbeat and not turn into a pity party.
We will be back in time for my surgery on Monday wish me luck and good margins :)
Many ((hugs)) to all
TT

    TT...
When I was diagnosed, it was a week before my parents 50th wedding anniversary. We had been planning the surprise party for 1 year! I chose to tell my older sister only. I did not want to spoil what was to be one of the greatest moments in their life! I was the only one that was out of state. I did tell them a week later over the phone. I explained my reasons for keeping it to myself and they understood. I was able to put on my poker face around a banquet room full of people. Many who have not seen me in years!! I found the more I "pretended" to be happy and having a good time, the more I actually forgot about BC momentarily and was able to play that role perfectly. Try to just enjoy the wedding and allow yourself to put BC on the back burner temporarily. Then you will come back and have your surgery and continue on. I will keep you in my prayers. :) Pammy

    Stay positive
If you stay positive and upbeat then I found the sad looks are few and far between.
That has been my own personal experience.

have a wonderful time! you deserve it!
Have the greatest time ever!!!! I agree~ the more fun you are having, and the more you "act" or even hopefully are having a great time, your BC will fade into the background in the minds eye of those with you!

Love your cat, btw! Awesome picture!

We are all thankful for each other...
As others have already posted, enjoy the wedding, the weekend, the companionship of family and friends - and, today, Thursday, your favorite day of the week.

Of course, we'll be hoping for clean margins and lymph nodes on Monday. Best of luck to you.

    P.S.: Pretty kitty!
