Update on Carter

I thought you all would like to know whats next for Carter. Monday, Mom and Carter are headed back to St Jude. They are going to give Carter a triple dose of rads for 3 weeks to try and give him more time. He has a new tumor on his spine and thats what they are going to try and deal with. With this treatment, they are hoping to gain a year with him. He will still have a good quality of life. There has been no change with the tumor in his head, this is good. I have to tell you, he is one strong trooper.Again Thanks for all the prayers, I will keep you posted.

    Cindy, Please do keep him in your prayers. He is just a strong, brave little boy. He is also smarter than his Mom & Dad thought he was.

    I have been wondering about little Carter and his parents. I will continue to pray for him and now also that the planned radiation does give this child more time to enjoy life and play as he was meant to.

    I have to tell you. Make a Wish came to Carter and asked him what he wish's for. So his Parents are there and Carter says. Well I wish to have my Birthday at Chuck E Cheese. So dad say's Carter I think Mom & Dad can do that for you. What else. It took him a couple of weeks to come up with something and his wish is a swimming Pool in his back yard.

    Oh, Kat, wouldn't it be wonderful if the radiation does work and Carter gets that year to enjoy his own swimming pool? I will pray so even harder.

    Also kind of puts things into perspective. Next time I whine about having a bad day, or not feeling great, please remind me of little Carter and his family.

    I am praying for Carter and asking other's to do the same. Little Carter sounds like a real trooper, I hope he gets that year and more of quality time. It is sad when anyone gets this nasty illness, but it is a trillion fold sad when it is a child such as Carter. Give the little guy a hug for us!

    Carter and especially his Mom and Dad are in our thoughts every day. I certainly hope he gets his pool. Give him a hug from us.

    Your right this little guy really does put things in perspective. He will definitely stay in my prayers, please keep us updated. I hope he gets many years to swim in his Make A Wish swimming pool.
