Well, the day is here. I start my chemo at 12:30, number 1 of 12....wish me luck.

    Almost banal
    Hey, Dave. Good luck with the chemo. After being so scared before my first one, the actual execution of it was almost banal. Just know that you are going in with all of our prayers and good vibes! God bless.

    Dave...I don't do well with drugs either....they have dtermined that I lack something or other in order to process them.....but you know what? No one thought I would complete 6 oxalyplatin and xeloda rounds but i did it....
    seriously....stay positive....if one thing doesn't work...try another but first....things first.

    Hold out your hand kiddo.....we got it.

    Good luck Dave. I started last week (Chemo 24hr pump x 7 days a week) and Radation everyday. let us know how it goes

    Hey everyone

    Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement, I made it through the first day.

    Had the Oxi yesterday, so far can't eat or drink anything cold. I have the 5FU on a fanny pack until Friday at 4:30. I can't wait to get this thing off. My onc told me the 5FU is not as bad as the oxi, so hoping this will go smooth.

    Glad to hear you did ok. I called the fanny pack my Bad Buddy. When I would do housework it was always in the way. My cat was always interested in the tubing when it was on me. I had this same course of treatment and my side effects were very mild. I hope yours are to. Your last treatment will be here before you know. Good luck to you.
