Hi Ladies,
This is an interesting article...regarding CA125 testing every 3 months or sooner.

    Joan and Nancy
Hi Joan and Nancy, I read the article with my husband and we had a long talk about the findings. He immediately pointed out that it was a small group of women involved.

I agree with Nancy, I want that CA done frequently, and a scan as well. That way my oncologist and I can keep track of the progression of my disease, and not wait until the spots start showing up and at that point start treatments.

Everyone has their own way of dealing with their cancer, and there are no right or wrong answers.

Just chiming in. We are each unique individuals and have different needs and means of coping ~ and why not :-) Even the Docs have different points of view, I have a friend with a doc who has never done a pet/ct and she has been fighting for 7 years. Her doc just doesn't think them necessary for ovca, my docs doesn't think they are necessary but I have had 2 in 61/2 just so I knew what was happening or so I thought.

Anyway that's my nickels worth.. thanks for posting the link. Hugs Bonnie

    Hi Bonnie,
You're so right, my oncologist does a CT scan every 3 months, he says for OVCA it's better tha a Pet or MRI scan.

He also goes by my CA125 reading because he says it's always been a good marker for my disease progression.

Like you said, every doctor has his own way.

Gee we used to say my 2cents worth, inflation I guess.

    Have a pleasant evening.
