I am feeling much better and have this to report: The loose bowels and huge amount of gas I had was due to lactose intolerance. I was craving milk products and it just occurred to me one day that maybe I had developed that during this many antibiotics....so having some lactase enzyme on hand, I tried it and had IMMEDIATE results. If any of you are having lots of gas....just maybe this will help you.

Now I will be reporting next week on the next round of OVCA test....blood and CA125 and last CT scan results.

    No milk mustache here!
    Hi Saundra,

This is very useful information! Is the enzyme you keep on hand for this? I've heard that eating yogurt helps maintain the system while taking antibiotics, but never saw evidence of that.

Hope everything goes well with your CA125 and CT results!

    LACTOSE INTOLERENT
    Hi Saundra

I have been LACTOSE INTOLERENT all my life. So I have never been a milk drinker, if I want cereal I buy LACTOSE-FREE milk and it works for me. It comes in the 1%, 2% and fat free and it tastes good.

Hope everything goes good with your tests.

    Lactase
The lactase enzyme is what is lacking if you are lactose intolerant. You can buy it over the counter in the grocery store pharmacy...section or drug stores.

The antibiotics that kill the bad bacteria also kill the good. I am taking acidophilus which replaces the healthy intestinal bacteria. Yogurt is good for this but it must have live bacteria and most on sale in groceries are pasteurized and do not have the live bacteria. I tried the Activia but before the lactase and it made things worse.
