Hello I'm new to the CSN. I'm so tired all the time.

I had Ovarian Cancer July 2004. Had complete hysterectomy followed by chemo. I went back to work, but last November I couldn't handle it anymore and quit work. I was sick all the time and the fatigue was/is unbearable. My blood work always comes back normal. I thought I might have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome until I recently read about Post Cancer Survivor Fatigue. I've tried Provigil (which is so expensive). It worked for about 3 weeks and BAM I'm right back down again. I eat healthly and exercise. I thought I would eventually go back to work, but I only have about 4 good hours a day to get stuff done. Is anyone else having this mind blowing fatigue years after the surgery/chemo? I'm 51 and really thought leaving work would improve my health, but it hasn't. Most of the time I want to cry because I'm so tired and frustrated. And of course-have fear that cancer has returned although no evidence has been found as of yet. Any suggestions?

    Encouragement and Prayers
    Hello,

I'm sort of a newbie too.

I was diagnosed with Ovarian Stage 4 B in the summer of 07. I was a bit tired, but my doctor insisted on B-12 shots weekly for awhile. She found out that I had B-12 deficiency. I then began B-12 supplement (over the counter where the vitamins are) I am still taking them and I feel good. Check with your doctor to see what your B-12 count it-I think she/he would have to order it.

I just finished a second round of chemo because my numbers started going up in Aug. I have given my own situation completely over to the Lord. When I start worrying like you about "will it come back" I tell myself I am minding God's business.
I have learned to stay in the moment, surprisingly it was not hard to do. Whenever I get anxious I stop and think how do I feel now? I'm fine. The anxiety goes away. Of course I went with the Bible where the God told Abraham what His name was. He said, "I am" That means he is not your past, he's not in your future (you're not there yet, He is in the Present and that's where you will find the strength you need.

Agian, I will at you to my list of prayers. If you haven't had your B-12 done lately I'd ask for another test.

    Good luck and God Bless,

    Barbara Strange

Let me know what you find out. HANG IT THERE!

    Complete Blood Work up
B-Strange is right, I would have a blood work up done. In fact if there is someone around who will draw for the Elisa/act blood test, I would have that done too. Also have your hormones tested. The Elisa/act with give a blue print of what food and or substances are reactives to your immune system.
If you know of a Reiki Master, get an appointment. They deal with energy and it is surprising what weight we carry around about stupid things that bog us down and affect our health.

    My prayers,
    Letting the sunshine in,
    RASUNSHINE
