Had my first visit with the "Girly Doctor" since my chemo and radiation and she found a hard mass in my abdomen. I'm scheduled for a pelvic ultrasound on Friday. I'm already scheduled to see my oncologist on Monday but we decided to do the ultrasound as my oncologist doesn't want to do a PET/CT unless my CEA is up and mine never got above a 2.2 even before I had the tumor removed, so we're doing the ultrasound to be on the safe side. If the ultrasound shows something then we'll have the PET/CT ordered. My last scans were in October and were clear. I can't imagine anything has grown that quickly. It was quite tender but I'm hoping for a partial obstruction or something of the like! LOL never thought I'd find myself hoping for an obstruction of any kind! I'm of course scared and nervous but I keep reminding myself that if it is indeed anything, we've caught it early!

    the wait will be torture!
I am praying for comfort for you while you wait to have the ultrasound on Friday. Be calm and know that God is with you now, no matter what the results on Friday.

    Friday will come quickly...
... and then the ultrasound. Will you be able to get the results on Friday, or will you have to wait the weekend?? I know up here, it takes a few days for the results to get to my doctor, when my GP orders things like ultrasounds or xrays. Things like blood tests, if I go to an outside lab, take a few days, but if I go to the lab at the Cancer agency, then my oncologist can get the results within 1 1/2 hours. Soooo, I hope you can get your results very quickly!

    Hugggggs,

    Cheryl

    Many things...
Hi there. It could be something as simple as scar tissue making itself known. Try not to project the worst.

    Hugs and prayers,

    More prayers
I'm praying for you. I hope it will be something easily explained and even more easily dealt with. You might remember my sister recently had a cat scan that showed mass in her stomach. It turned out to be a pool of blood from a burst blood vessel.

    *hugs*

    Don't borrow trouble...
You'll waste your life worrying about things you have no control over, give it to God and let Him carry the burden for you and you enjoy your weekend. I decided to never give the disease another minute of my valuable time. The only thing it gets now is chemo.......You enjoy yourself and let God do the worrying for you.....God Bless ya hun...

    MoonDragon update
Even though the post from "GordonJack" is annoying as heck, I'm glad it bumped this up to the top again. I've been wondering about MoonDragon. Has anyone had an update on how she's doing? MoonDragon, you've been on my mind lately--I hope you're doing well.

    Wishing you the best
Hey, Moondragon. I'm so glad to see a post. I remember you as one of the first people that replied when I first found out I had cancer and so appreciated your response. When I didn't see posts, I thought...she's NED and time to get on with her life...it made me think I may be like that one day too. I hope everything goes perfectly and nothing has returned...you earned it! Best wishes.
