I am 3 months out of IV and Peritoneal chemo and have some neuropathy in my feet. The past couple of days I have had alot of itching on my legs. Especially my left leg and hip. There is no rash or bumps or redness. I have tried a few lotions, and Aveeno moisturing body wash. It is a very deep itch and nothing seems to relieve it. Any sugestions?

    itch
Bonnie suggested Eucerin itch relief lotion one time and I use it for itches. I don't have the itch, I am having strange pains (feels like a broken blister) that shoot thru two toes and the top of my foot. I think they are nerves shooting off. Saundra

I have the same deep pain
I have the same deep pain only in the balls of my feet. This itching though...I don't know. My skin has changed so much since chemo. It almost seems thinner, or more translucent. I'll try some eucerin. At this point I'd try about anything other than sterod cream.

Hi Tracie, UGH..to itch and not know why can be maddening. The Eucerin is really good, the original is recommended for hand foot syndrym. Also a soak in the tub with some Instant Ocean or maybe good body salts that are for dry skin.

Another thought could be its from the neuropathy, nerves sometimes can cause itching and tingling without all the pain? Are you taking anything for the neuropathy? L-glutamine, vitamin B, L-Lysine are all things that help different people with the neuropathy side affects.

Wish I had more information to share with you, but I can see you are getting help from everyone here. :-) Isnt' this a great place? A place we hate to see yet another join but so glad when they find their way here.

If I think of anything else as my coffee helps my body awaken I'll be back.

    Hugs N Prayers Bonnie

    Thanks Bonnie!
I appreciate your input. I am only taking B6. I think I will add the L-glutamine. I am so glad I found all of you here. What a group, and what a wealth of information! I don't think there is anyone better to answer some of these questions than "been there, done that" people.

    Itchy
Hi...My Mom used to get the itchies at night, her legs especially. We tried everything we could think of. One day I came upon Neutrogena Soothing Relief..it was an anti itch moisturizer and it said Norwegian Formula on the squeeze bottle. THIS worked!! It was the only thing we found that worked so she could get some sleep. Even Benedryl did not work. She got the itchy attack in the hospital and they gave her Benedryl by mouth thinking it was an allergy. It helped a little...made her a little sleepy, but did nothing for the itch. I don't know if they still sell the Neutrogena, but it might be a cheaper alternative. And it worked instantly for Mom. Cindy
