pet scan results

My husband recently had his first 6 month pet scan (every 3 months for 2 years) it still seems to light up due to inflammation in rectal area. He has had several biopsies all have been negative. He has had a lesion show up on his liver but the MRI came back clear. Also an infection in his parotid gland still lights up after one year. Has anyone had this happen? I'd like to say he is NED.

    what was his original diagnoses and treatment. Everything sounds pretty good - I haven't had the exact experience, but I have certainly had wierd stuff that was nothing show up on scans.
