I don't know how to reply to a message but I just wanted to tell apache that "Proactiv" as seen on t.v. apparently works on the Erbitux rash. Good luck, Fiona.

I just saw this post and then read Apache4's post --- hope this info helps. My husband has been on erbitux weekly since 10/05...and yes - your description of bloody pustules is accurate. He was even hospitalized with a fever from it....His head bled whenever he laid on a pillow and I could go on and on. He tried all the ideas suggested here -none were helpful. He went to a dermatologist doing a study and was put on keflex (500 mg - 3X day - an antibiotic) and soriatane (25 mg 2 x day - a psoriasis medication). It worked!!!! And is still working--now, we have altered the dosages as needed...I can explain more if you like. But, it definitely was a lifesaver for my husband. He could not even go out of the house - his rash was so bad. But, a study has been completed now that says -the worse the rash--the better it is working so keep that in mind!! Hope this help! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
