Any clue to stoping stomach cramps and diarrhea after Campsor and Xeloda. Can't slow them down or stop them. Any suggestions? We have tried imodium, lomotil, codine suspension, activated charcoal. Help Mary B.

Last time this workedfor my father:

For the stomch cramps apo-metoclop every 4 hours, baby food in jars + slice of toast (to soak up stomch acid) every couple of hours, and a heating pat.

The diarrhea ultimatly ran it's course after 6 days. (although Xalada stoped the craming and the urge to go a bit)

I took Zofran to prevent nausea and vomiting during treatment. It worked but also had the added effect of stopping me up. I never had any diarrhea when I took it. It's not indicated to use for diarrhea, but in about a quarter of patients it causes constipation.
It may be worth a try.

HI there, my husband suffered terribly when he went on campostar and erbitux, he lost 31 pounds in 13 days and I aged 13 years. He now takes marisol (marijuana pills) opium drops( strong, you use 5 drops in a liquid) and immodium, it takes all three to handle the stomach problems, but it WORKS, his cheeks are filling out and he is eating. The good thing is no side effects that we can see from these meds. He takes the meds as needed to address the diarrhea. Good luck
