My son Mike age 25 was just diagnosed with osteosarcoma. I will be taking care of him through his treatments. Can anyone give me any advice. We all are still in the state of shock. His tumor is on his arm.

Sorry to hear about your son, but he will survive. My husband was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in 1988 at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. They cured his cancer and saved his leg. He was only 27 at the time. Get the best medical treatment you can and do your homework. Dr. Benjamin is the best there and he is still saving lives. Let me know if you want more information

I'm so sorry to hear about your son. My daughters 19 year old boyfriend was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in his arm 16 months ago. It has been a long road, it has just reaccured in his lungs and he is facing more treatment. I would recommded finding the best treatment ctr. Matt is at the U of Minnesota, where are you taking your son? Also, get some counsling for him or any family members. Everyone needs to get there feelings heard. Stay strong you can and will get through this

Hi Peggy, I was 6 months short of your son's age when I was diagnosed with it in my leg. I understand totally how you and your family feel. I will be 45 this July. You have to keep your chin up and keep fighting.
