To Leukemia & Lymphoma That's what they tell us, She went soo fast, We just found out she was sick a few weeks ago, I'm sure she was sick for awhile but didn't want to tell anyone. That's how she was. Duey is doing very good, He's being strong.

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. May you find a comfort knowing that she is in the better place now and not suffering any longer. One day you are going to meet again.

I am glad that Duey is doing well.

God Bless, Eleonora

I have just been reading Pepperdogs post. It is heartwrenching. I have survived cancer for nearly nine years now. During that time I have had several medical problems all believed to be as a result of chemo. I've tried to deal with them as they arose and to the best of my ability maitain a normal lifestyle and keep on paying the bills. It is impossible to tell how your loved ones are really dealing with all of this crap and I guess that some are like my wife. I had to promise her that I would survive. As to how I did it ,she didn't want to know. She could not stand to go to chemo with me as it just freaked her out ,as did the scans and waiting for results. It has not gotten any easier for her with time and when I look at l/t survivors that were on the same regime as me ,one has had a liver transplant, one at age 45 has to have a double hip replacement,Foxy over in New Zealand has had run of poor health all suspected to be chem related. I guess I should not be surprised that my wife told me last weekend that she is leaving me. There is no fun left in our life or our marriage is how she put it even though she thinks of me as her best friend. I don't know what more cancer can do to me or take from me. It has taken ten years of my life, more than a few of my good friends and now my wife.I find it hard to even imagine happiness anymore.

I am so sorry to hear about Duey's mom. I hope Duey can channel his energy into maintaining his own health, and taking each precious day as it comes. Time will ease the pain, I promise.

Take care of yourself too....the survivor is only as good as his/her support group!

I'm so sorry to see this post. Know that you, Duey and his mom have been in my thoughts. Tell Duey that I understand his pain. My dad went very quickly too. I'm still in shock. I try to think of him still watching over me and everyone here. Mentally I know he (and Duey's mom) are in a better place but it is hard for those left behind to emotionally take loosing a parent. HUGS to you and Duey and family.

I am so sad to read this. Take solace in the fact that she may not have been in alot of discomfort....some people just sort of poof!
I'm glad you are there for Duey...he is going to need a strong arm to help him....tell him now it's even more important than ever to show the beast who's boss!!!!!!!

Hugs, kathi
