Thanks for your response....went to my oncologist today....he gave me a few options...Surgery (which he doesnt recomend because it will just be to biopsy the lymph and the recup time is a month ) or to wait 3 weeks and have another ct...and blood test..if it grow, then we know what it is...I'm not blaming my oncologist at all...only the radiologist or whatever he is called that performed the biopsy. What the oncologist told me today was that because is such a small spot (1.5cm)it was very difficult to find....this lymph node is in the back of the stomach, and that there was always this chance that they would not find it...so anyways it was the best option ( ??? )So...what would you do ? I told him that I didnt want another surgery....so I guess that I will wait...I also sent information to MD Anderson...they are suppose to call me today...
Thanks
Ileana

Ileana.... was the botched biopsy done during your first surgery? Or was it an outpatient procedure? I guess I was unclear on this.

If it was an outpatient biopsy procedure and you want to know NOW then I think the hospital and doctor who did the biopsy should repeat it NOW at no charge to you. If they can claim it ws too small to find, then I guess you have less of an argument, but I've never heard that excuse before.

I certainly wouldn't have surgery, either, when a biopsy would do. If you are comfortable waiting three weeks, then you can do that. Just make sure they don't stretch that amount of time to 5 or 6 weeks.

In the scheme of things you have a great attitude and that's what will carry you through. Getting information from MD Anderson is a good idea, too. Are you thinking of going there?
