Hi, I am new to this sight, had surgery on may 23rd this year to remove a polyp that was too big to remove by colonoscopy, went to surgeon a week later and found out that I was in the beginning stages of colon cancer, what a shock. I am grateful that they got it in time, the surgeon does not think that chemo will be involved, won't know anything more untill this monday afternoon when I meet with my oncologist for the first time.
I just hope for the best. Ladybug52

    Ladybug,
First, let me say that your name brings back wonderful memories of a very sweet woman who called me that when I was quite small...
I have a bracelet that says:
    Colorectal Cancer: Preventable. Treatable. BEATABLE!
The earlier it is found, the easier it is to beat...congrats to you for the colonoscopy!

Welcome to the crowd! I am sending GREAT vibes to you for Monday!

    Hugs, Kathi

    Hi Ladybug,

Sorry you are part of our group now but glad you found us. It is great that it was caught early. Like others said it sounds like Stage one or two. That is great news and celebrate. No chemo is great! Take it from someone that is on chemo. I'm sure you are nervous for Monday. Here is a great book to get to help fight the beast. Patrick Quinlan's "Beating Cancer with Nutrition". It will show you maybe how you can change your diet to help fight the colon cancer. Good vibes your way and big HUGS!!!!
