Thank you for all your support. I have been trying to improve my diet through reading, but these last results have finally spurred me to make an appt with a naturopath who deals with cancer patients. My onc generally says "no" whenever I mention supplements. I specifically mentioned milk thistle when the liver stuff started and he said that he didn't feel there was enough literature to recommend it. I feel like I need the support of a professional to help me convince him.
I will fight this and win.
Mary

    Yea Mary!
I LOVE your spirit! (You know, the beast can't survive against a positive attitude!). I TRULY believe that, as well meaning as they are, sometimes our docs can be a little conservative in their thinking. I've been washing the underwear for one for 15 years, so I know!
I do the research, ask the questions of my onc, and if it will 'do no harm', I make my OWN choices! All of the natural things that we can do, help, as far as I am concerned!
    BIG HUGS, Kathi

    YOU GO GIRL!!

Keep us posted. I would love to hear what your ND recommends.

I wonder what "literature" your onc is reading.....

Pick up a subscription to Alternative Medicine magazine and you'll get an eyeful of what's out there for us.

peace, emily who loves the fact that her onc read the books she recommended on alternative med!! :-)
