Hello

Sorry for my lack of posting recently. I have been reading all the time though!

For those of you who don't know, my boyfriend was diagnosed with colon cancer in November 2004. He had the tumor removed and had a course of CPT11 and 5FU. He seemed to be doing well but in June 2005 the cancer had spread to his liver (and possibly his lung, although this was never certain). He started Ertbitux and CPT11 and his next scan in Sept 2005 was clear. He switched to Xeloda and stayed with Erbitux and his scan in January 2006 was clear. His most recent scan last week was also clear!!!!

The good news is that although he has to continue with the same treatment, he doesn't have to have another scan for 6 months. His treatment will be reviewed in 6 months, but at the moment his doc thinks it would be foolhardly to stop treatment. It doesn't affect him too much. The Xeloda is tablet form and he has to go to hospital for 2 1/2 hours every three weeks for Erbitux.

He's working full time and is full of energy. He's 26.

Hope his story offers some hope

Take care

Jo
