I replied earlier to this post, but in answer to one of the questions, Nettie had two children, around 8-10 I think. Her funeral will be on Monday.

I think you're right, 2 kids, but I think 6 & 8. Man, this disease sucks. Yeah, it woke us all up about priorities in our lives, but results like this make no sense to me.

    So sad,

    G'day Franny,
Big Hugs to you Fran ,I know how it hurts to lose friends, even when you have never met in person, to this disease. Nettie did whatever she could to survive for her family ,the fact that she couldn't is so sad but it is part of the life that we as a group know and understand. It is up to the rest of us to live long and strong for her memory, your friend Ron.

    Franny,
You were so kind to let us all know of Nettie's passing. She was such a quiet fighter; I know she was very tired from her long fight, and with her strong faith, I'm sure that she has found peace. My heart aches for her family.
    Hugs to you, too. Judy

What??? oh my dear sweet Lord..I don't really want to read any further..Nettie not making it?..I am at a total loss for words and it pains me in my soul to say
    "Dear Nettie
And He will raise you up on eagles' wings,
bear you on the breath of dawn,
make you to shine like the sun,
and hold you in the palm of His hand.

With tears I pray for your family to find peace/

every loss from this disease diminishes us; it's difficult to understand, and not unlike losing a small piece of yourself. My prayers are with Nettie tomorrow.

I missed the first post about Nettie. I am so sorry to hear that she passed, but glad that she is at peace and no longer suffering. Her posts were always inspirational to me.
