I read this today and couldn't help thinking about all the "characters" here...

Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.
—Helen Keller

I just wanted to say that I'm glad I've met all the "Characters" here. It is helping build my character to have this disease but also to have such great people helping me get through it. HUGS to all!

Hi Sponge - a great thought!

And you are bringing a tear to my eye. When my daughter was in 9th grade she played Helen Keller in "The Miracle Worker". She reduced the audience to tears at the end. As a parent there is nothing like seeing your child transform a group of people. Dozens came up to me to say "What is it like to see your own child assume a totally different persona?" It was moving and I will never forget it (even though she is 24 now). So quotes involving Helen Keller will inspire me forever, because aside from being generally inspiring, I will never forget seeing Jennifer (daughter) portray that character.
