Nope, standard ACT here. But I wanted to say GREAT BIG HUGS to you for being a pioneer! I talk to young ladies (I'm 50) with my bald head, and they say "oh I could NEVER lose my hair, I just wouldn't do it". My answer, of course, is "Would you rather lose your life?". But with brave people like you, hopefully this next generation won't have to lose either. All my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I'm not new to this board, just new to this prognosis. I finished all my BC treatments in March of 04. I was diagnosied in Jan of this yr. with Mas. Breast Cancer to both lungs, chest wall, mass on liver and mass on throat with lymphnode in volvement now. I'm just trying to find someone/anyone that can help me through this. My prognosis isn't good at all. 2nd opion says we will do all we can to help you, but comfort right now is our main concern. The pain is horrible and getting it undercontrol IS a MAJOR hurdle for me right now. Sleeping with some mod. exercize is helping. I go to see my OC today and she will evaluate again and do more blood work, blood work has been horrible but once again another hurdle to cross. I have 2 teenagers ,girl 7in April and boy 15. They are doing alright so far, but I'm sure some counciling is going to have to step in soon. The effects are getting too noticable for them now. They know what is going on with me, but to the extrememe, extent anymore. Once again, thank you very much and to anyone that can help me go through this.

God Bless to all and everyone.

Lisa, I'm so sorry. I haven't any advice, just a lot of care. Do you have family around? Your story is so incredibly sad and you are so brave. I live in Denver. Is there anything I can do? I have teenage children as well and would be happy to write to them if they want - or remember their birthdays with a card - anything that you can think of.

    Love and hugs.

Oh, Lisa, again, I have you in my prayers. I'm in California, southern part, if I can do anything. I'm on my first battle with this, no mets apparent. I wish I could take you in my arms (Im a mom, too) and make the pain go away. Best thing I learn with my daughters was to tell them as much as I thought they could handle. I was dx 6 months before BC with colon cancer. Fought and won (hopefully!) that battle, now is breast. I haven't had pain with the breast, but it was TERRIBLE with the colon...tumor was riding on my tailbone. I found relief in warm baths, and finally started taking Vicodin as much as I was allowed.
Please, again, let me know of anything I can do to help.
    All my prayers,
    Kathi
