You guys are incredible. Thank you for all the responses, you will never know how much it helps. I don't feel like I am so alone.
My Dr. appt today should give me some clarification on what we will do next, which I think is check the lymph nodes to make sure it has not spread.....this is the big one for me. It will determine my life right now in a big way. I am not sure when I will have the test, but at least this guy can answer some of my unknowns today. Thanks for being there, you are all awesome.

Hi Wendy, I am praying your doctors visit went well today. I heard the news that I had breast cancer on Aug. 2nd. My surgeon was on vacation, so I had to wait 2 weeks before meeting with him to discuss my options. This is the hardest time, the waiting before you can take action. I took a few days off work when I found out, spent some time with my mother and my husband. Remember that this has hit those around you with the same force it hit you. They are there for you. During this time, I had a hard time praying for myself. I shared this with my friends, and they prayed on my behalf. The strength that I received from those prayers have been a miracle. I know that I could never face this with my own strength. Don't hesitate to ask someone to pray for you.
I also received a lot of comfort from talking to women that have been through this. They are all around you. If you don't know of anyone, contact one of the buddy organizations, it's amazing how helpful it is to share with someone that understands what you are going through and how you are feeling.
My results from my lumpectomy were good. No lymph node involvement and clear margins. Since my tumor was 1cm, my oncologist suggested no chemo, radiation and tamoxifen (tumor ER+ and PR+). I will start Radiation in 2 weeks. Keep in touch, and we can go through this together!
