I lost my state health care when the state of TN stopped health coverage. Having no idea what to do I contacted all human services and was directed to the health department at the county level where I was informed about a law that Bill Clilnton passed in 1998 where women can be put on medicaid coverage. You do not need to meet the level of poverty that medicaid generally requires. Your income can be many times over that. It is based on the diagnosis of breast/cervical cancer. For breast cancer it continues on for five years or more depending on the drugs you are taking. This is a federal program so every state has to offer it thorugh medicaid. You of course cannot have insurance at the present time. I am happy to have some help in this journey. God Bless Linda

Hi, Linda. I was able to get on Medicaid for breast cancer. In NC being eligible for medicaid depends on income. I came so close not being eligible. I, too, am grateful for that help being out there.
