Breast swelling after SNB

I had a SNB on 2/3/05 (4 nodes-neg)and was fine until this wed.-2/9- when I woke up with a breast twice the size it has ever been! I saw my surgeon on Friday to have my stitches removed, he was not concerned said it was the body readjusting, it will not interfere with my mast on 3/2 and don't worry. I am not worried- it hurts! Any suggestions on how I can get this swelling to go down quicker? I am trying warm soaks -feels good- but not doing anything. Would appreciate any advice. Thanks!

    Hi there,
    Sorry to hear of your swelling. Well, when I was younger and played sports, I always did something to make something swell, such as my ankle or whatever. I used to put cold packs, or even a bag of frozen peas, and took Advil. Advil is good for swollen joints. Anyhoo, I hope this helps. God bless.

    I EMAILED YOU DIRECT. I ALSO WANT OTHERS TO KNOW WHAT HAS HELPED ME WITH A SWELLING AT SURGERY SITE. I HAVE HAD IT DRAINED TWICE YET IT STILL FILLS AND HURTS LIKE MAD. I FOUND THAT A PRODUCT CALLED EXTRA STRENGHT COLD& HOT PAIN RELIEF THERAPY PATCH MADE BY DG FROM DOLLAR GENERAL HELPS A BUNCH. I KNOW OTHER COMPANIES MAKE SIMILIAR PRODUCTS BUT THESE ARE ONLY $3.50 FOR 6 3"X 4" PATCHS. THEY STICK BY THEMSELF WITHOUT TAPE. MOST TAPES MAKE ME RED AND HURT . THIS DOES NOT. TRY THEM .
