Just a quick update. I saw the neurologist yesterday. After an evaluation he believes everything is OK but because of family history (mom and grandparents) of strokes and TIA's, he ordered a brain scan and sonos of coratid and cranial arteries. If it all comes back fine he may just suggest taking a baby asprin daily. I had the sonos today and the brain scan is set for next Wednesday. I'm also awaiting results from a fine needle biopsy I had this week as well. Let me tell you, if everything comes back normal, I am going to relax and enjoy being "healthy" for a change!

My neurologist called me last night with the results. Everything was normal except (isn't there always an "except"!) they found a benign looking cyst (3mm) in my pituitary gland. Since I don't have symptoms stemming from that, he suggests repeating the MRI in 6 months to track it. He also recommends taking a baby asprin daily to prevent another TIA.

I also received the biopsy results from my surgeon. In a normal breast biopsy it would be alarming to get the diagnosis of fat necrosis but since my doctor's original dx was that it was tissue from my TRAM flap, that made sense in this case. He is still going to discuss it with my plastic surgeon but I am now comfortable with the determination.

I am breathing a lot easier today and feel much more relaxed. Now I intend to get back into my exercise routine and better eating habits and I will be in a much better place! Thanks.
