Chemo and vision issues?

Has anyone had issues with their vision while on chemo? I have 1 more A/C treatment to go. It seems like I'm having issues with focusing my eyes, especially if there's not much light. I used to be nearsighted (had laser surgery) so I'm wondering if this is something temporary, or if my vision is changing. Has anyone else had vision issues with chemo?

Yes, I had a little trouble with vision during chemo. My opthalmologist said that it is common for your vision to change slightly during chemo and radiation. He suggested I wait until about 6 months after I was finished with everything to come back and have a vision test. So I suggest that to you also. Don't waste your money going for a vision test now. Wait until everything has returned to a somewhat "normal" state, whatever that is. Ha.

    Hi Jill,
I think your vision will return back to its original state a few months after you stop your treatments. My vision became blurry, then bouncy! stationary objects seemed like they were moving. I could not focus for a long time! I didnt tell anyone, therefore I did not have to give up my career as Police Sniper..... just kidding! But seriously... I would try not to worry about it. Eyesight is a common function to be effected by treatment. Take care and God bless!

Hi, I had trouble too with my vision during chemo and for a few months after. Now it is pretty much back to normal. I must always use sunglasses now as very bright light still bothers me. I also think I need reading glasses- but that is age not chemo!

Thanks everyone! I was starting to wonder if I was imagining it! I'm really glad to know it's only temportary. I guess it will be back to normal about the same time my eyebrows grow back! ;-)
