tight ligament

I was wondering if anyone had this problem. During my chemo, I noticed a pulling sensation in the arm that chemo was given in. Now there is a tendon that pops up ,when I stretch my arm to reach for something and is very tight like a guitarr string.At first it looks like my vein but it isn`t.The nurse at the radiation area looked at it and said to show it to my primary dr.who would probally refer me to a therapist for exercises to the arm.( I wonder what else chemo has done to me and how chemo could make a ligament become very tight).I don`t think it is cancer . I just worry at the damage chemo does but if chemo lets me have many more years to my life then I think aI can stand a tight ligament....
But I would really appreciate it if there is anyone who has experenced this.could tell me how it happened since I am very active with my arms .

    Hey that's from the surgery and it's called cording. I agree go see a therapist experienced with masectomy patients even lymphodema. It's just that those PT and OT know what to watch for and how to prevent Lymphadema. I had the cording and it is not a permenant condition. Relax and go see an OT or PT- Candy

    Hi Snookums, I am still somewhat confused. I didn`t have a masectomy.I had a lumpectomy and the arm that is pulling is in the opposite arm that I had the lumpectomy in. It is in the arm that the chemo was administered in. The nurse at the radiation place asked about it yesterday and I said it is still there. She said she had never seen that before.But it doesnt hurt so I dont think about it much.Thanks anyway for answering.....Shirl
