This is my first time here and I hope I can find out some information. Yesterday I went to the doctor and they told me that they found lumps under my bra line and one in my stomach. The lady said not to worry yet and to come back in 2 weeks for a further check-up. I am 32 years old and I have three children. I am kinda scared now. You should I worry or trust the doctor? :(

Two weeks is a relatively short time to have to wait. If you still have the lumps when you go back, ask the Dr. to check them out more thoroughly. Tell her you are worried and need to know for sure what those lumps are. At least she didn't put you off 6 months. A lot can happen in 6 months, but 2 weeks is a much better time frame.
Keep us posted on what you find out.

All lumps are to be checked out until you know what they are. Since you are on the bc forum we know that cancer is your worry. Please don't drive yourself crazy about cancer until necessary at your age it is most likely something else. You and your Dr are doing the right thing at this stage. Please come back and tell us what they found our prayers are with you. This is not a group you want to join but if you need us we are here in the mean time. Love, hugs and healthy living. Linda

    Hi menina:

I agree that two weeks is not a long time to wait.
However, it can seem like two months when you're the one sweating out the wait! Believe it or not, it WILL pass quickly though.

Some sort of biopsy is essential, unless the docs can tell you, for CERTAIN, what the lumps are, without biopsy. Keep in mind that lumps can be soooo many things and cancer is only one consideration. Keep busy and focus on taking excellent care of yourself, with excellent diet and exercise, in the interim. If the lumps do need surgical removal, then you'll be in good health and your recovery time will likely be shorter for the effort.

Keep us posted and good luck!

    Love, light and laughter,

Keep on top of things. You have to know your own body. Listen to it. If you are unhappy with what the doctors come up with then get a second opinion. I know how you feel I have two small children. I am know a survivor and proud of it. Stay on top of things. Ask questions, research and pray. Keep a positive attitude. I found that helped me very much. Keep me informed. Praying for you.
