    1. Discuss your particular situation with a highly respected surgeon (other than the one you will be seeing tomorrow). See what he/she has to say about various issues that you are concerned about. In other words, get a second opinion.
    2. Look into radiation treatments as well.

    My consultation with urologist is not tomorrow but Tuesday. Tomorrow is memorial day. I am seeing a different urologist Tuesday as the doctor I have been seeing is out on leave. The doctor I am seeing Tuesday is MD Anderson Anderson cancer center certified. The cancer center at the hospital is an MD Anderson cancer center. So, hopefully I am in good hands. The doctor I have been seeing is a relatively new doctor. 7 years and has only been with this urology clinic for a year. So, I will discuss if surgery is their initial treatment recommendation who will be doing my surgery. I just hope they think of my care instead of just which doctor I have been seeing all along. All 3 of the doctors associated with MD Anderson are doctors in the urology clinic I go to. But the doctor I have been seeing is not 1 of them. The doctor I am seeing on Tuesday is though

    Well, there will be no prostate surgery. Urologist says it is too aggressive and they need to treat with hormones and radiation. They gave me orgovyx to start taking tonight. They had 1 month samples to give me and have to wait for insurance approval. Then I should be hearing from radiation oncologists to schedule EBRT. Probably seed implant to follow. The doctor also mentioned abiratone if insurance will approve that. I am not sure what that is

    Abiraterone is also known by its brand name as Zytiga, and it is used in conjunction with Lupron, or in your case orgovyx, to augment the testosterone starving impact on the cancer cells. You can Google it for more information. If you are prescribed Abiraterone, you will also be prescribed Prednisone to prevent any harmful side effects of Abiraterone.

    This cocktail has proved to be beneficial in studies in Europe for advanced prostate cancer (PCa) disease. I was on this cocktail for 2 years, and I'm still here to talk about it.

    Thank you. I looked up these meds. We are waiting for insurance approval which I am worried about. I looked up prices for these meds and they are really high. It is nice to hear of someone that faired well with this cocktail

    This is one case where GoodRx dramatically reduced my costs for Abiraterone. After insurance, my out-of-pocket cost for Abiraterone would have been ~$600 per month, but with GoodRx and no insurance usage, my cost was ~$240 per month.
