thank you so much everyone for your support, answering my questions, and sharing your experience. I feel less anxious than I thought I would (will likely change by morning), and I'm so hungry! Today was a beautiful spring day in Oregon and I appreciated being able to feel the sun on my face. It's supposed to be warm tomorrow so my goal is to walk to a window and watch the sunset. I'll post when I feel up to it post recovery :)

you got this. I was not nervous either. I think we wait for this day and know that it is something we have to do and then we can mentally move on.

    Good luck my dear!

Everything will be ok! It was a beautiful day in Oregon yesterday. I live in eugene and it was a perfect day to go to the park with the kids. Anyway, keep us posted on how everything goes!

    You can always

tell who the adults are. You accept this well. Let the pros do what they do. Make it a learning experience. You have generated a wonderful karma supporting you. Everything improves post op.

    Sore but ok

surgery went well. IV pre-op did not. Got poked 7 times. after 3 nurses tried the anesthesiologist was able to get one. They were so nice. I was able to sit and stand for A bit but walking will be tomorrow. We’ve struggled with pain control. On Oxy and morphine. I feel really clear headed though. Not groggy like I expected. Will be happy in the am when the cath is removed! My doctor let me know he won’t make me wait until post op for my path results. I can call him. I’ve kept an ice pack on my incision and that has helped a ton. Thanks again everyone for your kind words!

    On The Way...

I'm glad everything went well with your surgery.  The first week is the most interesting, after that  you'll feel better every day!  Rest up and soon you'll be back to yourself!
