5-year milestone

Hello all,

It's been quite awhile since I've posted here.  Yesterday was my 5-year anniversary for my nephrectomy.  I went in for blood tests this morning and go for CT scan in another week.  I'm feeling great (getting tired of the Oregon rain this winter;-)) and doing everything that my artificial knees allow me to do!

Well, for now, it's time to head out and do stuff.

Ed

    Post no. 2

Just my 2nd post. I read some old posts about people on sunitinib (Sutent) as I am who last there sense of taste or had bad taste after taking Sutent. My taste has mostly disappeared and it makes eating almost a chore. I'm starting to lose weight because of it and I'm not a big person. One post talked about using L glutamine to get your sense of taste back , possibly in as little as 3 days. I have been taking it for 10days with no effect. I was wondering about the dosage, I followed the instructions on the bottle of 5 grams a day. Wondering if anyone has tried this or is aware of a different dosage?

My 3 year was in December....Congrats on yours! My oncologist said that a 3 years NED is a biggie for much lower chance of recurrence!

CT scan moved a week out

Oh well, the CT scan was moved out a week (still don't know why).  I guess I have to wait another week for NED;-)!
