What's Novocure? Does it work?

Are Optune and Novocure the same thing? Has anyone here tried it? It seems pretty science fiction to me, but if it works I'm game.

    Optune therapy

    Optune is the therapy. Novocure is the company. So, yes, they are the same thing. My husband started it two weeks ago. It doesn't start working for 28 days (don't know why that is). It is supposed to keep cancer cells from dividing. He's also on Avastin and started CCNU in October. The tumor continued to grow, so that is why his dr added Optune. (he got GBM4 in August 2011)
