Ok .. I have been neglectful in keeping count/track of my points. However, I have been walking faithfully - 4 to 5 times a week. On the days, I do not walk, I go up and down our stairs .. at least 20 times per day. May not sound like much, but its more exercise than I have done in the past 16 months. LOL -- getting back to normal, 1 step at a time.

Ok .. I confessed! Hoping everyone is doing well, and staying strong!

    Zumbaya?
Should I consider holding up a lighter and swaying as you sing?

Please note...I did NOT have cheesecake...and I really wanted some @#$%! cheesecake! Afterall, Christiane Northrup suggested on one of those PBS pledge drive programs that women might consider having dessert when they gather with other ladies.

Remember, my routine is walk a mile to Starbucks for a skinny vanilla latte, a mile back, use my bathroom if necessary, and two more miles for good measure!

Zumba and walking 4 miles -- for a darn 'skinny
vanilla latte' ? I might as well - starve myself all day.? Now that's an option I can handle and is doable, right now. 4 miles, Starbucks and Zumba -- on my 'Wish List'. LOL

    well i haven't done crap
well i haven't done crap since our last little "check in". My treadmill is covered with boxes of christmas decorations & all the other "stuff" from around the house that I don't have a place to put yet!
I wasn't feeling very well last week -had some pretty bad joint pain. Oh, and then we went to Chicago for an overnight stay with friends, dinner, comedy show, drinks, so every last bit of healthy eating I had done all during the week went right out the window in that one night ;)
But, i still checked in on the scale, haven't lost anything! But, i didn't gain anything either! Since we're getting hit with this nasty blizzard & my daughter doesn't have school tomorrow, my PS office called me today & told me my nipple reconstruction scheduled for tomorrow will more than likely be cancelled also, so getting our office cleaned out so I can get back on the treadmill is my project for the day!
    *hugs*

I like to think of my patronage of Starbucks as doing my bit to keep the economy moving. Call it a rationalization if you'd like. Starbucks employs Psychology and Philosophy majors that would likely not have employment otherwise. Those kids need to pay back student loans, contribute to social security, and eventually move out of their parent's homes. Not all college graduates get the cool gigs teaching creative writing.

Maybe I am reading between the lines, did you really mean Zumba, my derriere? Should I be offended?

Pssst...I'm still giggling about that forearm enlargement.

    Kay ... Wow, 20 pounds in 5 or 6 weeks ...
what a good start to getting back to normal, and feeling better about ourselves. How is your Mom, dong ? Thinking and praying for you.

Yes, I try and provide some much need comic relief to a few of our fellow 'Warriors' here on the board ..

I had been going to a PT -- as I ended up with chronic fatigue after all my TCH, and year of herceptin. Seriously, I could only go upstairs twice each day, due to my fatigue and fainting. My side efforts of chemo were extreme, as I recall so were your's. It was difficult to cook -- as I could not remember receipes, etc. So I started using posted it notes, and 8.5 x 11 paper writing down .. what I did, what needed to be done and so on. I did not drive much, fatigued and I truly didn't know where I was at ..on more than 1 occasion -- jumped the curb with my car -- thousands of dollars worth of damage.

so now, I am doing much better .. My health insurance is 'no more', so I am finding ways to increase my levels of energy by walking, climbing my stairs etc.

Push Push Push .. ourselves daily, otherwise we will never get back to normal.

    Strength and Courage,

    walking my tushie off...
Ok, I'm not getting on the scale cause it's really not my friend.

I have been measuring myself (bust, waist, hips) to see my progress with my weight. So far I lost 2" off my hips, 1" off my waist and 1/2" my off bust.

I"ve been reading my Dr.Oz book and he recommends walking 10,000 steps a day. Thank goodness for the tread mill, I'm able to get in about 7500. I find having a good concert with "moving" music has been the best.

Just think, when all the TV commercials start with commercials to "get your baithing suit bodies" we'll be ahead of 'em!

    Wooohoo!!!!

    Meetings Cancelled
My last two Weight Watcher meetings were cancelled because of the weather. Grrrrrr! I feel like I've done well and am anxious to weigh in. Come on spring.

Had to build up to it...
I am doing it now in an hour.

When I started I was pushing to get 6000 steps in an hour and now I've increased to 7500 in an hour. Having great music to listen to / watch on the DVD player has been a big key for me.

    Stupid equals skinny
At least, that's how we creative writer types see it.
And, I'm sure you were sensitive enough to understand that I was just trying to teach grasshopper a lesson about the journey.

Zumba is because my clothes dont't fit and I either continue down this path towards a future in plus size jeans or start moving my fat behind.

Okay, I have you all beat.
Okay, I have you all beat. I lost, drum roll please, 50 lbs in one day. How you ask? Well, the trick was to have the battery door in the bottom of the scale loosen and the batteries shift just a bit. Instant weight loss. What, you say that I didn't really lose 50 lbs? But that's what the scale read. I taped the battery door and regained the whole 50 lbs. Boo hoo!! So sad. LOL
Seriously I have lost a little weight in the past year which is a victory because weight gain can be a side issue with arimidex. I know that what I need to do is to step up my exercise and the weight loss would increase. Maybe in the spring. Right now I am happy that I am just not gaining.
To all of you that are doing well with weight loss, congrats and job well done. To those struggling, Keep working at it a day at a time. To those that have given up or like me just aren't ready to start yet, don't beat yourself up. The nice thing about dieting you can start anytime you are ready. And to those lucky enough not to have this issue, I envy you. But I have found with a mom who was always slim that she was probably slim because she was active and she watched what and how much she ate. But if it was genetic, why didn't I get that gene?
Wishing for success to us all.

    Ok, honestly
I haven't written it all down )-: Stef I love the story about the scale. Boy would I love to lose 50#s! Kay, you're doing great even if you're not trying. RE maybe just tweak your eating to get past the 24#s. I love Heather's treadmill being covered in decorations.

My treadmill is in the basement. I have a recumbent bike in the spare bedroom and have been riding it when my knee isn't screaming. We lost power for 4 hours today and I sat freezing in my kitchen! Some days I'm mindful of my eating and others not so good. We went to NH to visit my ailing BIL (has lung, liver, bone and brain cancer). I was thrilled I didn't gain weight. Monday the RD weighed me at rads and I had lost 4#s. WW is the one I care about and that's happening Friday. I was told however that losing is 10x more difficult when you can't exercise. I'm in a dilemma with the arthritis and artificial shoulder. I'm having a MRI of my knee on Monday. Enough with the excuses! I have to stop eating candy, chips, etc.
