My bracelet was found!

Not cancer related, but I had lost my diamond tennis bracelet when I moved to California three years ago, I really thought I had swept it up and tossed it in the trash. The last night in my home, I had swept up the garage and tossed all the dust in to the dumpster. Later when I got in my car, it was not on my wrist and I couldn't get back in the house. The Realtor looked for it and nothing! Well, last week, my daughter dropped something between the seat and the console in the Yukon (that I had sold her), so she used a hanger to try and get it out and out came my diamond tennis bracelet! Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Happy Anniversary. The double clasp had broken, I must have got it stuck on something while moving. To look at it, you would have thought that it was an old ugly thing worth nada!

It is nice and shiny now, and back on my wrist! Wow!

    I don't have that much
I don't have that much jewelery. in my 26 year marriage, never really was. I told my husband, I only need one ring for each hand and watch, bracelet and two pair of ear rings. So on a business fun trip with the partners to St Martin, he bought me a diamond/pearl ring, a tennis bracelet, pearl ear rings and a couple strands of pearls. I had my wedding ring and my nice watch, so I was set. Then I lost the bracelet, valued at @4,000...I was just sick!

    You are so funny!
You mean you haven't given your wife one? lol

I think it is called a 'tennis bracelet' because the rich and famous started showing them off at the tennis club...just a 'small' sparkley thing...lol.

Price range is pretty wide depending on number and quality and size of the diamonds. Also the bracelet itself can be simple or more ornate. Some make it look like a rope of diamonds on the wrist.

One of the nicer pieces to give and to get. Keep it in mind for the next big day when your wife deserves a gift!

    Hugs,

    Must be something about moving
I too 'lost' some jewelery when I moved from Florida to Va.

I was absolutely sure I knew where those two rings were...one a Princess Di engagement type and one a London Blue topaz with diamonds. But when I went to get them, they were not there.

Several years later, I was going through some things and I found them! While they were a gift for me from me, I was still heartsick thinking they were lost.

Like you was celebrating when I found them!

Can you have your daughter look again and see if my car keys are in the Yukon? LOL! Over a month ago I drove home, parked in the garage, walked in the house and my keys simply vanished in thin air. I was to leave again an hour later, and to date, no keys. This key ring had car, house, post office, every key on it (I know - already got the lecture from hubby...) To date, they are still missing. We ripped the house/garage/car apart. I say the cat ate them.

    The tennis bracelet got its
The tennis bracelet got its name in 1987 when tennis player Chris Evert wore a diamond bracelet at the US Open tournament. At the time, wearing jewelry at a professional tennis match was unheard of, and the crowd was awed by the bracelet. The jewelry caused further commotion when the clasp broke and the diamonds fell on the court.

Vick, you sure those keys aren't in a pocket or the bottom of your purse! Between the fridge and counter? :)

My husband said my bracelet was almost double the 4,000....oh, wow! 19 diamonds.

    lost diamond story
i am sure I have told this story before....but....haha here it is again. My mom died in 1987 leaving me 3 lovely diamond rings including a very large triple stone....in 2004 the winter was brutal and i was having a very bad time. Unknown to me I had colon cancer and had been fighting and denying symptoms such as constipation and heartburn and black thoughts at night for at least a year. I put my foot down and said I wanted to do something different for Christmas and forced my husband and daughter into the car for a little driving trip through -30 temp and freezing motel rooms....silly. before we left i packed up Christmas and hid the diamond rings from thieves???/ and then put the whole thing away in the attic.

about a month later I was diagnosed....went into cancer world and finally thought....mmmmwonder where the rings are....lost gone forever

i had absolutely no memory of hiding those diamonds and thought they were gone forever.

the next year after colon surgery and very bad rounds of 5fu...i was under the tree decorating....thinking....wow i am so amazed to be alive.....and i opened a box of ornaments and there were the rings....

funny...how diamonds get lost and found....

My husband misplaced a set of keys for work several months ago; had looked everywhere for them. Yesterday he was looking for a pair of missing glasses. He looked in a glasses case that was sitting on a table in our living room. Inside was the set of missing keys. He is still looking for the glasses. Hopefully yours will also turn up.
