My husband and I have declared this a day without cancer. Just for today let's forget about all the bad stuff and enjoy the moment.

Best wishes for a Merry Christmas.

    So Sorry

So sorry your Mom's not doing well. My husband got through yesterday but was in pain also. His stems from shingles he got recently. It's an inflamed nerve. He's taking Lyrica but it doesn't seem to be helping. The pain is intense not to mention other pain from the cancer. He tried to eat dinner yestesrday but could only manage a little cream of chicken soup later in the day. I don't think it was good for him because today he had "an accident." I'm hoping the mass in his pelvis isn't affecting his intestines or bowel. He wants to go to the doctor tomorrow first thing. This is a man who wouldn't see a doctor for over ten years before cancer. So you know he's not feeling well at all. I was supposed to leave for PA today for a memorial service for my sister (breast cancer). I just couldn't leave my husband alone and now I'm glad I didn't go.

    I really hate cancer!!!

My thoughts and prayers are going out to you and your husband. Shingles are absolutely henious and can give flu like symptoms as well as the pain. (I got them from stress last year) It's awful that you're unable to get to the memorial service, too. I wish there was something I could do to make all of us on this board feel better, this powerlessness sucks. Prayer is the only positive action I know to take at this point. (((Hugs)))
