Holland was inherited by the King of Spain....but...
just like all families, the kids (Dutch) figured dad (the king) didn't know anything...so, that led eventually to a bloody end to Spanish rule...

Sort of like we Americans, after the English took to much of a firm hand....ROFL!

    Hugs, Kathi

Not all 7 verses....2 are the usual.....
BUT, I have a hand-crank belly organ with that song as one of the pieces. So, whenever I feel patriotic, (or there is a dutch person over), I play the organ....It's cool to see the response....they sing along....(and they say we AMERICANS are so darn patriotic!!!).
