Two weeks ago I finally finished my 35 radiation treatments to my sinuses and cervical lymph nodes and 2 rounds of 8 day chemo treatments. Now I am home and trying to find my new normal. There is a lot going on emotionally - I spent a several days in tears. My biggest challenge is recovering from sinus surgery and the radiation. I use a nasal rinse 5 to 6 times a day. At night I sleep with a vaporizer which can't last much longer due to it is creating too much moisture in my house and I worry about mold. I also use ocean nasal spray. I see my ENT to remove some of the stuff on Tues and I am looking forward to that. Any one else experience some of these issues? And if so what solutions have you found?

Thanks for any help you have to offer.

    Hi Chark

I am NPC that is a Cancer that grows in the nasal passageway, not a very nice thing to have. I sleep with a cool mist vaporizers going all night and don’t get any problems with mold, just need to clean it every day. Ocean nasal spray is some really good stuff I use it 3 to 4 times a day, hope all goes well with your ENT visit, please let us know.

    All the best my friend

Chark, sorry to hear of your
Chark, sorry to hear of your issues. Is it a cool mist vaporizer? I have one of those and I don't notice any problems with moisture build up in my room. Not sure if that would make a difference.

My friend had a tumor in her sinus removed and keeps having to go to the docs to have crusty crap pulled out of there. She has been using the saline spray and it's a little better, I think it just takes time.

It is very hard to adjust to that 'new normal' that every one talks about here. Wishing you the best of luck.
