Hi everyone,

I promised Winter Marie this recipe for no bake chocolate macaroons. Here it is:

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup cocoa
1 stick margarine/butter
2 1/2 cups quick oatmeal
1 cup flaked coconut

Mix oatmeal and coconut in large bowl, set aside. Mix first flour ingredients in medium sauce pan. Bring to a boil on low heat. Boil 3 minutes. Pour mixture over oatmeal and coconut, mix thoroughly. Drop by tablespoon onto waxed paper. Let stand until firm. Eat and enjoy.

    Delicious!
These were delicious when my daughter made them. Sorry, there is a typo, it should say "first four ingredients". It wouldn't let me edit - grrrr!

    Thanks!
Thanks Anne! I haven't seen this recipe for YEARS! I used to make these and I have no idea why I stopped, but have not had the recipe so sort of forgot about them. But I'm thinking I may have to add these to my holiday baking... the list is getting long!!

Hehehe... and I will be putting up my Jalapeno Pepper Jelly recipe and my Cheese Cocktail Cookie recipe ... but the kitchen is a disaster area because I'm making more jelly tonight. But I will be posting them :D

    La Ronge
We lived in La Ronge for a year and 50 miles from there for twenty years. It is beautiful country but there ARE lots of mosquitos. Where are you from, Kathy?
