you seem to want to get her
you seem to want to get her a handbag, yet nobody is really biting or jumping up and down about it. I dunno, unless you have great taste or know the bag brand well enough to know she will love it, well, I wouldn't. I am pretty particular about my bags, not sure any man could pick one out for me. Now only you know Tote and she definitely might be totally different....

I do like the idea of a bag, with something in it....hummmm....like a totally tacky bag, disguisting color, a real cheapo one....and then when she is obviously disappointed and yelling at you for being totally thoughtless....tell her she better open it before she makes a fool of herself. And then in the bag something unique, something special- and if you insist on a bag, give her a gift certificate to pick out her own.

Personally, I prefer jewelry. Diamonds are great- but many other precious stones that are incredible. Have something special made for her- check with a local jewelry shop, talk to their craftsman.

    Good luck!

    Pepe,

How about a necklace engraved with a nice message? Or a bracelet that's engraved? I'm really into music, so a cd I've been really wanting, or tickets to see someone live that I like is very exciting to me.

    *hugs*

    ok heck
put some jewelry and a spa pass in the purse too ... that way you've covered all your bases. It's always easier to spend someone elses money. Shouldn't ask us women to spend your money for you! LOL

I can't offer suggestions. I have cancer, I sort of gave up on material things, I got happy with just the sun shining, reading a good book, waking up everyday, that I can't even make a suggestion.
I just want to spend time with my children, my man, the nature around me.
In the real world, it's stupid, because, well, we're trained to expect things.
I want a warm hand on my ****, a thank you for dinner, and a kiss good night. This is all I want or expect for Christmas. I'm giving absolutely nothing for Christmas to anyone.
My children, their getting my heart, my love, my hugs.
My husband, well he's lucky, because he's got me, plain and simple.
Oh, crap, can you believe I just lied???
I just thought of something I REALLY, REALLY WANT!!! Someone to help weed my garden!!!!
That is my Christmas list, and I can't suggest anything better them that.

A spa day would be nice,
A spa day would be nice, something frivolous, unless she does that all the time.

No clothes! I mean don't buy her clothes unless it's an accessory or a great wool coat!

A nice purse is good, unless she already has that.

A gift certificate to a nice shoe place because if she already has those, she wants more.

A weekend away with her best friend, unless that is you or, it's a guy! :) A break.

    An iphone, and ipad,

or,maybe she just wants you...a bottle of wine, chocolate covered strawberries, cheese and grapes....

Oh, 500 hundred count sheets or higher......I will take this ANYTIME! There is nothing like sleeping on great 100% cotton sheets! I love my bed SO much! My sheets are to die for, and they smell like clean linen! Oh yea!

One of the most thoughtful gifts I ever got from George was a small heart necklace made of small diamonds. It's about 1 inch in length. I cherish it. That tiny heart just says it all. Or perhaps a heart pendant, the kind that opens, with a picture of you or both of you inside, engrave a saying like, "forever in my heart".

Another thing, but a little on the expensive side, is a strand of pearls. Nothing classier than a strand of real pearls, and they look great with anything she wears.

Take care and happy shopping - Tina
