Andrea, I was diagnosed with Hoshimoto's in 1980. They doctors had a difficult time regulating my levels. As you may know, hoshimoto's is an autoimmune disorder, as the body attempts to destroy it, the gland can secrete hormone at inconsistent levels. From what you have written I'm sure you are an expert at the whole thryoid battle! It really does suck and not many people really understand what we go through with all the ups and downs and side affects. I went hypo after chemo, then just recently went hyper because the doc was over-medicating and then they found the Hoshi's... but its just another one of those things that we have to continue to take one day at a time. Actually, my voice has changed too, its raspy and sometimes words don't come out. Not good when I go to answer the phone at work LOL.... however, some people find it a blessing that I lose my voice from time to time ahahaha! I've heard that once someone gets the thyroid removed they feel so much better. But for now me and my thyroid must learn to get along with each other. I'm sure once they can get my meds adjusted I'll start feeling better. Thanks for coming by and sharing. Stay in touch....us thyroid crazies must stick together Hugs - Andrea

They do resemble each other - that is too cool! Your grandbaby is adorable and the car SWEET! I will have to post the mustang sometime soon so come back and check to see if it is there.

Well I went and saw the ENT last Thurs (he was the doc that diagnosed my Hodgkins the first go round) and he said that by what he could see/feel he was not concerned, but that he would wait and see what my cancer doc had to say and he would go with whatever biopsy or removal if necessary but was pretty sure that everything looked fine and the swollen glands were not big enough right now to make him think any differently WHEW that was a relief. Saw the onco doc just Monday and he too felt like everything was fine and that I looked healthy, glands were not of any concern and that he thought the itching and other symptoms could be related to my ongoing battle with my thyroid and hoshimotos. He did, however, order a full abdominal u/s and a chest x-ray and a sed-rate blood test. He said that he believes everything would be fine, but a good idea just to do some tests to rule out anything that could be hiding. He gave me a hi-5 on my 10 years out...and all this time I thought I was only 8 going on 9 - where does time go? LOL.... That is great news you are actually 10 tears out. Sounds good what the docs say as well. Still have to have it checked though. I was telling my son about how much the 2 babies look alike and he said "I wonder if that ladys grandbaby has a mouth as big as Katies" He said when she screams it will give you a headache. It struck me kinda funny. They forget how big their mouths were when they were growing up.HAHAHA. I will be thinking of you in the days to come and hope all turns out Okay. John (FNHL-1-4A-5/10)

John, Tell your son yes I've had several headaches after babysitting my grandbaby, she sure has a good set of lungs, since birth! LOL.... Ya 10 years, my jaw about dropped when he told me, but it made me feel good, he said the more years the better that it will stay in remission. I hope he is right!

I posted the Mustang.... Wish the weather was nicer (cold and snowy) because when I see her parked in the garage both me and boyfriend get the itch to take her for a spin (no pun intended on the itchy thing)
