    alittle hint to help that
alittle hint to help that not happen again, Wrap a piece of tape around the tubing and make a flag out of it, then put a safety pin through the flag part and fasten to your shirt, then if the pump falls, it will be stopped by the shirt and not be pulled out.

    Oh. Well I guess that
Oh. Well I guess that wouldn't work. When my pelvis was radiated for the colorectal area my arm were at my sides with hands on the tummy. They need to put a small bedside close next to you where it will be close to you maybe?....Gail

    Gail,
    In your case, pin it

    Gail,
In your case, pin it to your bra!

I wish I could take credit
I wish I could take credit for it, but my oncology nurse showed me this trick. during the day I pinned it to my bra and then when I had to change my clothes, I would lay the pump down while I was sitting, then transfer the pin to my pajamas or whatever it was I was changin into it, and it also felt more secure when I was sleeping. I never had the feeling that I would pull the needle out of my port.

    ID Badge Clip
I used one of those plastic ID Badge Clips with snaps to snap around the part of the tubing where the tubes screw together then I clipped the metal part to the top of my shirt. It worked very well for those many times that I forgot to take the pump when I got up. The tape and safety pin sound great too! I wish those pumps could be made to be a little easier to drag around! I called mine "Grace", just because there was no graceful way to handle it!

    Pepe
Just wear the pump around your waist - you can have it sit on your thigh during the treatment.

Also, no gowns should be worn for radiating the lung area. Shirt off at all times and the technicians should tell you this. They need to see your tatoos to line you up properly in the linear accelerator.

    Good ideas
Such good ideas for you Pepe. You are in good hands here for sure. I remember jumping out of bed to the sound of my alarm, only to be jerked back because I left my pump laying on the bed. Talk about wide eyed and scared. I did mine 3 months ago. You're going to do great!
