If I told you once I told you a million times!

    Mother sure liked using this

    LOL
Oh yes Hondo my Mom liked that one as well. In addition whenever we were whining because we couldn't have what we wanted she would say "people in hell want ice water and their not getting it". Parental quotes are always interesting.

    I like that one. I think I

I like that one. I think I will use it on my daughter when she is whining about what she can't have.

on the subject of what mother's say, whenever I asked my mother where she was going she would always say 'to Timbuktou'.

Well, I had a mission since I was a kid to one day go to Timbuktou. I did travel way the hell out there up the Niger river for 5 days on a boat and arrived in Timbuktou. Now, my daughter has a fascination with the place, it has an amazing history. I have a new mission to get my mother and my daughter there sometime.

Ahhhh a mothers inspiration, even if she didn't intend to inspire you she did! I love that you desire to make it a family venture, please let me know if it happens.

RE, I wasn't going to respond to this post because I don't know that many quotes. I went to open a file (I thought it was something else) and found that quote by beecher stowe. I had come across it at some point and saved it as it's own file. Isn't that strange?

    Now I've thought of another:

    Never give up. Never surrender.

-Jason Nesmith from Galaxy Quest (1999 movie)

    awesome!
Galaxy Quest is Classic! Just saw part of it again the other day and was laughing out loud. I forgot how hilarious it was. And the quote is perfect. I never would have thought of it, even though I knew exactly where it had come from the moment I saw it, without having to read your credit to the movie. I think I just might have a shirt made that says that!
    Blessings,
    Jenn

    Survivor
Not sure this is truly a quote, but I found it on my first trip to my Oncologist. They have it printed on little strips of paper lying around all over the place for use as book markers or something similar. I picked it up and didn't even read it until later.

"I have lived, laughed, loved and lost.
I have cried, mourned and grieved,
    hoped, prayed, and healed.
I have found strength and true beauty.
    I am a survivor."

I like the message. I'm thinking it would make a nice t-shirt.

    A good quote

My current favorite (subject to change w/o notice) ;-)
Keep an open mind, but not so open that your brains fall out - attributed at various times to R.Feynman, C.Sagan, J.Oberg...

And here's the parental quote that has stayed with me the longest, from my mom - A poor craftsman blames his tools.

Also from my mom, Beans, beans, good for the heart... - need I go on? ;-)
