    Hi Sue,
I'm sitting at my desk watching the rain fall. It has been raining off and on since Thursday. It must be cold in Yakima. Not cold here, just rain. Hope your doing great.

    Doing great!
    Hi Lisha,
Yep..I'm doing really good...this week and next week are always my good weeks. I am experiencing a little more fatigue than what I had with the first two rounds, but it's nothing un-bearable. I'm just not getting as many things done each day, so I'm adjusting to seeing things not being "exactly" like I prefer. I'll get over it...ha! Yes...it is cold here. Not so much during the day, but it dips down pretty low at night. The leaves are all turning color and the air is brisk, but I just L-O-V-E it. The smell of wood smoke and seeing Mt Adams and Mt Ranier covered in snow from my living room window is just awesome. The foothills surrounding the Yakima valley got dusted with snow last night, so it won't be long before I'll wake up looking out to a "white" valley picture..."YES"! Don't like the "wind" today, but, oh well. Hope you are doing better and enjoying your fall weather. Most Libra's I know, say they love fall!

    Funny fella...
    hahaha John!...
If you came out here and saw how absolutely gorgeous the Pacific Northwest is during "ALL" of the seasons, you probably wouldn't want to go home....(maybe, maybe not)..ha! I love the snow as much as I love the summer and other times of year. Back in the day, I snow skied, water skied, ice skated and one time I even went up in a para sail...and yes, I was sober at the time...ha! I've always been somewhat of a risk taker and loved participating in all kinds of outdoor recreational fun. My oldest son worked 12 years in the Bearing sea on a fishing boat...can't imagine where he got his thrill for adventure from..ha! Apple didn't fall very far from the tree. Enjoy your "swimming weather" and those precious grandbabies!...Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)

    cold weather
    Sue,
I lived in Maryland most of my life and the winters there were brutal. I don't mean snow, but the wind chills. It could be 20 degrees outside and the wind would pick up and put the TEMPERATURE below zero. It was because the Chesapeake Bay runs thru the middle of the state. I am not kidding it felt like the wind was tearing the skin right off your face. The farther inland you go the easier it is. Less humidity to make the air so cold. It is terrible to walk 50 yards to your car after work and have snot frozen to your upper lip. By the time you get the car heated up your upper lip is blistered. Chap stick is useless in wet cold Md. weather. Used to work with a guy that lived for 20 years in Buffalo,NY next to the Great lakes. He said he didn't know which was worse in the winter months when the wind blew. I guess it all depends on where you live as far as the winter and summer months. You certainly don't want to be in cold damp weather if you ever get arthritis. I don't have it but I know my wife and oldest son do and it will cripple you in that weather. Oh, but I just love snowy weather.......in pictures!!! heeheehee John

    Sorry
    Hi Vinny,
Just wanted to say sorry for your loss... I was on the edge of my seat, even had to walk away at points during the game. The headlines of our local newspaper read "CARDIAC CHAMPS"
No kidding, it was exciting to watch. Now on to the World Series. Whoo Hooo Go GIANTS !!!
Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip in Florida. A lounge chair in the shade works just fine..
    Peaceful healing

    HAIR
    VINNY,
Notice you mentioned no hair. I would think it would have started growing back by now. I did not lose all mine but I did notice a few little stubs about 2 weeks ago on top of my head. There are a bunch of fuzzys up there too. I know you been thru this before and was wondering how long it may take for it to get going full force. I have shaved my face several times but the hair on my head don't seem to do much, even the little stubs that have been there for 2 weeks. Does this sound normal to you? I know a couple of people on here said there hair started growing after the 3rd treatment. John

    Brrrrrrr
    Hi John,
I know all about those brutal winter temps. I lived in Champaign/Urbana Illinois from 1968 until 1978. Cold as heck in the winter and humid as heck in the summer, and God awful Tornado's in the spring and summer. Funny thing is, I moved to Washington in 78 and 2 years later MT. St. Helens blew up. Talk about a mess! We were covered in ash 2 to 3 inches deep and it went from a sunny Sunday morning in May to pitch black darkness by 9:30 a.m. I thought to myself.."oh my gosh..what have I gotten myself into, moving here"!..ha! Took quite a few years to clean up all of the ash and a few more years to get rid of the fear of it blowing up again, but don't have any regrets and I love it here.

    ST.HELENS
    SUE,
I remember St.Helens real well. My oldest son was not even a year old and I remember going outside weeks after the explosion and how gray the skys were in Balto.Md. It was all over the news that the ash had reached the east coast and was expected to linger for a couple of weeks. It did too. It wasn't dark out but it was dreary looking. John
