performed successfully on five people at Mayo Clinic in Florida....."Although the treatment techniques are in the developmental stage, the
physicians say the treatment is potentially beneficial against most tumors in the body--either primary or metastatic--as lomg as there are only a few in an organ and they are each less than 5 centimeters in size (about 2 inches in diameter) Patients also cannot have a pacemaker or certain metallic implants, since the procedure is done inside an MRI machine."....

Also in the news recently:

"A new study by a Univeristy of Arkansas biomedical engineer and his colleagues at the National Cancer Institute demonstrates further promise for chitosan/interleukin-12 as an effective antitumor immunotheraphy......"

And

"A combination of Biothera's Imprime PGG and cetuximab (Erbitux) doubled the overall response rates for second- and third-line metastatic colorectal cancer patients participating in a Phase 1b/11a clinical trial."

Another

"Ubiquitin D (UBD) could serve as a new prognostic factor for forecasting colorectal cancer progression and disease recurrence....."

A mans got to know his limitations
    Steve,
I will not say I will never give up. There could be a time I might down the road. I sure as hell am not giving up now. As dirty Harry once said “A mans got to know his limitations.”

Anne......I have a vested interest in learning all I can
so when I see my doctors, who don't have the time to read all that I do,I can inform them of what I've read, as well as keeping myself informed. Did the same when Dxed with COPD--read all I could on lungs ,emphysema and chronic bronchitis. I get sometimes between 50 and 100 emails a day on latest research pertaining to cancer, CRC or medicine/science in general and I scroll thru headlines for those articles of interest to me.Some of this is way too technical for me (ie-check "medical headlines" on 7thspace.com and let me know if you understand any of it!!!) Unfortunately, nothing seems to be available tomorrow to help those right now!!!!
Kerry, the day you give up is the day politicians don't lie and we know that will never happen

Live life today and every day.......steve
