Round 8 finished

I don't know about the rest of you but round 1 was the worst for me. My body was blindsided for sure. 2 thru 6 ok but 7 & 8 I really dreaded. I am so wiped out with the chemo and my husband I can hardly take it. Now I have to wait 8 weeks for a pet scan. The Dr told me the chemo would be working all that time. Oh and I have fuzz all over my head. It feels funny to feel it move in the breeze. Hardly any eyebrows or lashes.

    FUZZIES
    Kaye,
I am just getting little dark hair on the top of my head about a 1/8th inch. I don't notice anything on the sides at all. All my hair did not fall out. It really got thin though. The top was the worse, but it fell out on the sides too. For some reason it is not coming back there at least not that I can see anyway. I guess it takes longer. Maybe it works its way from the very top to the sides and down. Never lost my eyebrows, but they did get a little thinner. I finished my round #6 2 weeks ago of r-cvp and had my scan 2 weeks later. No results yet. Congratulations on your last chemo. You are not alone, round #1knocked me down too. John

    Great news, done!
Congratulation Kaye on completing your chemos. Numbers 1 and 5 and 6 were the worst for me, because of very different reasons. Now give your self time to rest and rebuild. Eight weeks will go very fast and than it will be time for your pet. Enjoy your fuzz. Sending loving wishes for health and healings. Leslie

    Happy for you
    Hi Kaye,
I'm happy your treatments are now behind you. You too John! Won't be long and many of us will be waiting for scan results of one kind or another. I hope you can find some peace of mind while you wait for your next scan. Keeping good positive thoughts for you and your husband. Hows Lola doing? All better I hope!
    Love...Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)

    Congratulations !
I'm glad to hear you get a break for a while, 8 weeks is not long unless you're waiting for results. The fatique is a trial, especially when you're dealing with your husband too. My husband was in ICU with a heart condition when I was doing chemo, when I would go sit with him I think the nurses were nervous, didn't know if they should bring in an xtra bed, I wish they had, I needed a nap.
I think of you often & hope things ease up soon, you're done with chemo & your dog is OK, so It's a start. How is your husband doing?

    My husband
My accupunturist told me he could help with stroke so I started taking him with me. I can not believe how much difference it has made in just 3 sessions. Its a miracle. He can put sentences together now and he is getting back his sense of humor. Just a few minutes ago I picked a booger out of my nose. I paused the TV and said guess what?? I just picked a booger. He smiled and Said soooo. I said you know what that means don't ya, he said no, I have hair growing back in my nose, I haven't picked a booger in months. I said I'm gonna tell Rachel ( my daughter) and as I jumped up to go tell her he said "by all means go tell em" I haven't heard that wit since before the stroke. Lola is better, Things are looking up.

    Wonderful
    Kaye,
This is truly wonderful to hear. Your husband making progress and You with your nose hair and of course your sweet Lola. As you may know, my dog is Lola too. She is a sweetie also.
I used an acupuncturist for pain and found it to help, so I am not to surprised to hear that he is helping your husband on his journey back. Stay strong.
    Peaceful healing
